Ingredients

3 c. sugar
8 eggs
1/3 c. flour
8 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
5 bananas
2 boxes vanilla wafers
Preparation

Mix sugar, flour and salt; set aside.
Beat egg yolks (whites are for meringue).
Add 4 cups milk.
Add this to sugar mixture and stir.
Add remaining milk and vanilla.
Cook in double boiler until it begins to thicken.
Remove from heat and cool.
Layer bananas and vanilla wafers.
Beat egg whites until stiff and add 1 cup sugar and beat again.
Pour cooled pudding over layered bananas and top with beaten egg whites.
Put in 400\u00b0 oven until lightly brown.
