White Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oleo
    2 unbeaten egg whites
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat sugar, oleo and egg whites until fluffy.
    To buttermilk, add soda and vanilla.
    Mix flour and baking powder.
    Alternate into egg whites the buttermilk mixture and flour mixture, ending with flour mixture.
    Pour into lined 9-inch round pan or greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until it springs back.
    Cool and frost.
