Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 Tbsp. flour
2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 whole egg
3 Tbsp. chopped onion (fine)
1 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients together.
Add onion, then milk and beaten egg.
Drop by spoonful into pan or kettle, where hush puppies are fried to a golden brown or done in hot grease.
