Waldorf Red Cake Or Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. Quik cocoa mix
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine cocoa mix and coloring and set aside.
    Cream sugar and shortening, salt and vanilla.
    Add eggs and food coloring mix and beat well.
    Add flour alternately with buttermilk.
    Beat well. Combine soda and vinegar, then add to cake mixture.
    Beat mixture well.
    Bake in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan or 3 (9-inch) layers at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Test.
