Comstock Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. water
    6 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. apple pie spice
    cooking apples to fill 7 qt. jars
Preparation
    Cook all ingredients (except apples) until mixture boils and looks slightly thick.
    Peel and slice cooking apples into 7 (1-quart) jars; fill jars with cooked mixture.
    Process in pressure cooker 15 minutes at 5 pounds pressure.
    Each quart makes 1 deep-dish pie.
