Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
5 eggs
3 c. self-rising or cake flour
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sweet milk
1 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs (beat well).
Sift all ingredients together.
Add milk, vanilla, and nuts.
Bake in tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
