Coconut-Pecan Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 1/3 c. coconut, flaked
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
Preparation
    Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine and vanilla in a small pan.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until thick about 12 minutes.
    Stir in coconut and pecans.
    Beat until thick enough to spread.
    This is excellent frosting for a German chocolate cake.
