Ingredients

2 large eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 c. cooked rice
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg (to sprinkle on top)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In large bowl, beat eggs, sugar and salt. Scald milk and pour into egg mixture. Stir in raisins, rice and vanilla. Pour into slightly greased ovenproof baking dish, 1-quart size. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place the dish in the oven in a pan of water 1-inch deep. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
