Broccoli And Cheese Pastries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch broccoli, cut into florets
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. finely sliced green onion
    1 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 (15 oz.) pkg. ready made pie crusts (not frozen)
    1 egg, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Steam broccoli florets and set aside to cool.
    In a medium bowl, mix the cheese, green onion, dill weed and nutmeg.
    Unfold crusts.
    Cut each crust in half, creating 4 half circles.
    Add broccoli to medium bowl and toss ingredients. Mound 1/4 of the filling on each half pastry; press filling to compact it.
    Fold the pastry closed and seal edges with a fork. Pierce pastry with the tines of a fork several times.
    Place pastries on a large baking sheet; brush generously with glaze. Bake pastries for 22 minutes, until golden brown.
    Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    Makes 4.
    Reheat well in a microwave.
