Puzzle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 (1 lb.) can fruit cocktail with syrup
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Blend egg, salt and sugar together.
    Sift flour with baking soda.
    Add to egg mixture.
    Add can of fruit cocktail with syrup. Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix the remaining ingredients and sprinkle on top of batter.
    Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 1 hour. Cool; cut into squares.
    Serve with whipped cream.
