Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    nuts/butterscotch bits
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 7 x 11-inch pan.
    Melt margarine in saucepan with brown sugar; stir together.
    Let it come to a boil, then let it bubble for 2 to 3 minutes (on low to medium heat).
    Remove from stove and let it cool about 10 minutes. Add eggs and stir well.
    Then add vanilla and stir, then add flour and baking powder and stir.
    If using nuts, add now.
    Scrape into baking dish; add butterscotch bits (about 1/2 cup) to top of batter.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
