Red Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. or 1/4 c. red coloring
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix vinegar and soda in a cup; let stand.
    Cream sugar and shortening, then add eggs.
    Mix well.
    Add cocoa and red coloring. Add buttermilk, salt, flour, vanilla, vinegar and soda.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
