Choco-Date Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 Oreos
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cut up dates
    3/4 c. water
    2 c. small marshmallows
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Crush Oreos; spread over bottom of an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Reserve
    1/4 cup for topping.
    Bring dates and water to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
    Add marshmallows and chopped
    nuts
    to warm dates; stir until melted.
    Cool to room temperature,
    then spread over crumbs in dish.
    Whip the cream. Add
    vanilla; swirl over date mixture in dish.
    Sprinkle
    with reserved chocolate cookie crumbs.
    Garnish with the walnuts. Refrigerate overnight.
