Stuffed Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 egg
    cabbage leaves
    2 cans tomato sauce
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Wilt cabbage leaves in boiling water.
    Mix ground beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, black pepper and egg together.
    Trim off thickest part of stem from cabbage leaves.
    Divide meat into equal portions and wrap each in a cabbage leaf and fasten with a wooden toothpick.
    Brown cabbage rolls slightly in small amount of cooking oil.
    Put in casserole dish and add 2 cans tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water.
    Cover and cook slowly for about 40 minutes.
