Amish Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cake flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Measure sifted flour into sifter and add baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Beat egg in bowl.
    Add milk and blend.
    Sift dry ingredients into this mixture gradually, beating after each addition.
    Add melted shortening.
    Beat with eggbeater until mixed. Bake on hot griddle, turning only once.
