French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. self-rising flour
    2 or 3 slices bread
    1/2 to 1 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix egg, flour and milk (add milk slowly) to make mixture like pancake batter.
    Cut bread diagonal and dip in batter and drop into hot oil (in a Fry Daddy or skillet).
    Cook to golden brown and turn and cook other side to golden brown.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar and add syrup.
