Shephard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. brown gravy mix (1 c.)
    1 c. water
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 1/2 c. warm seasoned mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion in skillet; salt.
    Blend in gravy mix and water.
    Add basil and vegetables.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Fold cheese into potatoes. Spoon in ring on top of casserole.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
