Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 pkg. yeast
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 small onion

Preparation

Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; add egg and milk.
Add rest of ingredients and mix well.
Drop in hot oil and fry until brown.
