Mercer'S Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. margarine (4 oz. to 1 stick)
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 (12 oz.) can Carnation milk
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
    1 qt. pecans
    vanilla and salt (if desired)
Preparation
    Put margarine, sugar and milk into a pan and heat mixture until it comes to a boil. Boil for 8 minutes (230\u00b0), stirring constantly. In a large mixing bowl, put chocolate chips and Marshmallow Creme and then pour hot mixture over this. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and pinch of salt, if desired. Stir until creamy. Add pecans and drop in small pieces on wax paper.
