Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. fresh or canned whole kernel corn
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
    Combine remaining ingredients and blend into dry ingredients, without overmixing. Drop by tablespoons into preheated 375\u00b0 vegetable shortening.
    Fry until golden brown, turning once.
    Place on paper lined baking sheet in warm oven until all are cooked.
    Serve with maple syrup. Makes about 12 (2-inch) fritters.
