Martha'S Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 or 9 large potatoes
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pt. half and half or milk
    1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
    1 c. fresh bread crumbs
Preparation
    Boil potatoes only 10 minutes with jackets on; cool.
    Peel and grate potatoes.
    Melt 1/2 cup of butter or oleo and add cream. Grate the cheese.
    Layer potatoes, cream mixture and cheese in 3 layers.
    Top with fresh bread crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
