Devil Dogs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. sour milk
    1 c. boiling water
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco.
    Add eggs.
    Beat well.
    Add sour milk and boiling water all at once.
    (Mixture will be watery.)
    Sift dry ingredients, including cocoa.
    Add all at once to mixture.
    Mix well.
    Drop by tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 475\u00b0 for about 5 minutes or until done.
    Remove from cookie sheet immediately and let cool.
    Put flat sides together with filling.
