Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, broken into pieces
    1 green pepper, sliced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated Parmesan
    1/3 c. bacon bits
Preparation
    In large bowl, place lettuce, then a layer of green pepper, then the onion, then the peas.
    Combine mayo and sugar.
    Pour over peas.
    Sprinkle cheese over top, then bacon bits.
    Make and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
    Cover tightly.
    Will keep for several days.
