Skillet Italian Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground round or lean chuck
    1 egg
    1/4 c. ketchup
    4 slices bread
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1 small onion, diced or 1/4 c. dried onion
Preparation
    Wet bread and squeeze out by hand excess water.
    Mix all ingredients together, crushing Italian seasoning between fingers. Then form large patties by hand.
    Put in large skillet and cook slowly until browned on both sides.
    Pour off excess grease.
    Mix 1 cup ketchup and 1 cup water.
    Pour over meat; cover and let simmer 30 to 40 minutes.
    Thicken gravy with 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 cup water (will not use all of it) or use your own thickening. Wonderful for summer when you do not want to use oven.
