Pasta Broccoli Toss - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. rotini pasta
    3 c. broccoli florets
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 sweet yellow pepper chopped
    1 onion chopped
    4 garlic cloves minced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. white sugar
    1/2 c. basil shredded
    4 tomatoes chopped
    1/4 c. romano cheese grated
Preparation
    In large sauce pan, cook rotini as directed in boiling salt water for 6 minutes.
    Add broccoli, cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Drain. Reserve 1/4 c. of the liquid.
    Return pasta to pan.
    Meanwhile heat oil in saucepan; add pepper, onion and garlic, cook about 5 minutes.
    Stir in reserved liquid, salt, pepper and sugar; bring to a boil.\tPour mixture over pasta and broccoli mixture; add tomatoes, basil and cheese.
    Toss and serve.
    Serves 4.
