Pineapple Ring A Lings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can (1 lb. 13 oz.) pineapple slices (about eight slices)
    1 egg
    5 slices of zwieback or bread crumbs (1 c. crumbs)
Preparation
    Drain the pineapple slices, and beat egg slightly; crush the zwieback or bread to make 1 cup crumbs.
    Dip pineapple slices first in egg, then in crumbs.
    Fry in melted butter or margarine until crisp and golden on both sides.
    Serve hot.
    This especially good with ham.
