Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    3 c. cream
    1 c. nuts (preferably pecans)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add 1 cup of cream with the sugar and syrup and cook it until it forms soft ball in cold water, then add the second cup of cream. Cook until it forms little harder ball in the cold water. Beat creamy; add nuts and vanilla.
    Pour into shallow pan and mark in squares while cooling.
