End Of Garden Pickles(Sweet) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium cabbage, chopped
    4 cucumbers, chopped
    4 green tomatoes, chopped
    6 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
    2 onions, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1/4 c. salt
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place chopped vegetables in a crock. Add the salt.
    Let stand overnight at room temperature. Wash in cold water.
    Place in pint jars.
    Mix vinegar and sugar.
    Bring to a boil. Tie the pickling spices up in a thin cloth and put in kettle with the vinegar; cook 1 minute.
    Pour over the vegetables, covering the vegetables. Seal.
