Seven Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large egg whites
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1/3 c. water
    2 tsp. light corn syrup
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, sugar, salt, water and corn syrup in top of double boiler.
    Beat for 1 minute, or until thoroughly blended. Place pan with frosting mixture over boiling water and beat constantly at high speed or with rotary beater for 7 minutes, until frosting stands in stiff peaks.
    Stir frosting up from bottom and sides of pan occasionally to be sure it is thoroughly mixed.
    Remove from water to a large bowl.
    Add vanilla; beat 1 minute more, until thick enough to spread.
