Nut Or Jelly Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lard or Crisco
    1 cake yeast
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. milk
    1 can condensed milk (not Eagle Brand)
    7 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Warm to lukewarm 1/4 cup milk and crumble the yeast into warm milk.
    Set aside.
    Sift baking powder, salt, sugar and 1 cup of flour into 6 cups of flour.
    Cut shortening into the flour mixture. Add yeast mixture.
    Beat eggs until lemon colored, then add to mixture.
    Knead until smooth.
    Add flour if necessary.
    Cover with a bowl and set aside.
