Mary Southerland'S Broccoli Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 c. water
    3/4 lb. melting cheese (i.e., Velveeta)
Preparation
    Cook the broccoli according to package directions (but do not add salt); drain well.
    Saute onion in butter in a medium saucepan, then add the cooked broccoli and the remaining ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat until cheese melts, stirring often to keep from burning on the bottom of the pan.
    You may double or quadruple the recipe easily.
