Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    3 to 4 slices bacon
    1 onion, chopped
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    salt and pepper
    1/2 c. water
    1 medium apple, cut in small pieces
Preparation
    Prepare cabbage and shred.
    Heat in about 1-inch salted water and vinegar.
    Cover and heat to boiling until cabbage is crisp cooked, about 10 minutes; drain.
