Light Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix well with pastry blender the flour, sugar, shortening, cinnamon and ginger.
    Save out 1/2 cup for topping.
    Add to flour mixture the egg, molasses, sour milk, soda and salt.
    Mix together.
    Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with topping.
    Bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
