Chicken Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 can bean sprouts, drain and save liquid
    1 can water chestnuts, drain and save liquid
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. chopped parsley
    1 c. chicken, diced
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    chow mein noodles or white rice, cooked
Preparation
    Saute in oil:
    onions, celery, drained bean sprouts and drained water chestnuts.
    Cook for 2 minutes.
    Add cornstarch and soy sauce to liquid drained from sprouts and chestnuts, blending until smooth.
    Add broth, sugar and parsley to sauteed vegetables; add chicken and last add the cornstarch-soy mixture.
    Cook until thickened.
    Serve over rice or chow mein noodles (leftover pork or beef also can be used).
