Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head green cabbage
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. cooked rice
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (14 to 16 oz.) chopped tomatoes
juice of 1 lemon
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation

Cook rice. Add 12 cabbage leaves to 1 teaspoon salt/boiling water; let stand 5 minutes. Drain. Combine onions, garlic, meat, rice, eggs, pepper and 1 teaspoon salt. Place mound of meat mixture (1/2 cup) in hollow leaf; roll up, placing seam side down, single layer in lightly greased 13 x 9 pan. Combine, then pour sauce, tomatoes, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and sugar over cabbage rolls. Cover and bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 minutes and uncovered for 10 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
