Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cups flour
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup shortening
    1 cup Brer Rabbit molasses
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 cups hot water
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar and shortening to make crumbs.
    Reserve 1 cup of crumbs for top.
    To remaining crumb mixture add molasses, baking soda and hot water.\tMix well.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 X 13 pan.
    Sprinkle reserved crumbs over batter.\tBake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream.
