Country Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. dry beans
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. sausage
2 apples, cubed
1 c. celery, chopped
1 large onion
1 clove garlic
2 cans stewed tomatoes
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
-
Rinse beans and cover with 8 cups water and boil, covered, for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand for 1 hour.
Add 1 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer 1 hour.
