Icebox Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. boiling water
    2 c. 100% All-Bran cereal
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    5 c. flour
    5 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. Grape-Nuts cereal
Preparation
    Pour water over bran and set aside.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, beating well.
    Add milk and flour alternating with soda and salt.
    Add Grape-Nuts and bran last. Bake in greased muffin tin filled half full for 12 to 15 minutes in a 400\u00b0 oven.
    If batter is chilled, raise temperature to 425\u00b0. Keeps in refrigerator 6 weeks.
