Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 c. cooked sweet potatoes or yams, mashed, sieved, blended or processed
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
    1 3/4 c. half and half or evaporated milk
    unbaked pastry shell for 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Break eggs in bowl and whip until combined.
    Add potatoes, sugar, salt and spices.
    Blend well.
    Add half and half, then stir well.
    Ladle this filling into the pastry shell.
    Bake for 15 minutes at 450\u00b0, then reduce heat to 300\u00b0 and bake approximately 30 minutes longer or until a toothpick inserted 1 inch from the pie's center comes out clean.
    Remove pie from oven and cool on rack.
