Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    25 to 30 medium cucumbers
    8 large white onions
    2 large bell peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. cider vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Slice and wash cucumbers; chop onions and peppers.
    Soak cucumbers, peppers, onions and salt on ice for 3 hours, then drain. Add vinegar, sugar and spices (not cucumbers); let come to a rolling boil.
    Pour on cucumbers and put back on burner and heat (not boil).
    Put in jars.
