Pineapple-Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. flour
    1 c. coconut
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 well-beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and blend well. Add crushed pineapple, including juice. Sift baking powder with flour and add to mixture. Add coconut and vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Allow to cool before frosting.
