Hulupkies(Cabbage Rolls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 jar Ragu
    water
Preparation
    Cook rice according to package directions.
    In a large bowl, combine beef, rice, egg, oregano, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup Ragu.
    In a large kettle, boil cabbage head, removing leaves as they become very tender.
    Roll approximately 2 tablespoons of meat mixture in each cabbage leaf.
    Place loose edge down into roaster lined with extra cabbage leaves.
    Top with water, Ragu and bacon strips.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
    Check every 45 minutes. Add water if necessary.
