Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. (1 c.) butter
    4 eggs, separated
    1/3 c. poppy seed (dried, not the Solo brand filling)
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. sour cream
    2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Beat egg yolks; add to sugar mixture. Add poppy seed.
    Dissolve soda in sour cream.
    Add sour cream alternately with flour.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.
    Bake in an ungreased tube pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0. Invert to cool.
