Ingredients

3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
4 eggs, separated
3 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Heat 2 1/2 cups milk.
Mix sugar, flour, other 1/2 cup milk, egg yolks and softened butter.
Add to hot milk and cook until thick (stirring as it thickens).
Put into baked crusts and top with beaten egg whites, sweetened.
Brown slightly to bake egg whites.
