Ingredients

2 c. bread crumbs
1 qt. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 oz. chocolate
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Make a custard of scalded milk, eggs, sugar and salt.
Add chocolate (melted over hot water) and vanilla.
Fold in bread crumbs.
Pour into pudding dish.
Dot with butter and bake in moderate oven 45 minutes.
