Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can French-style green beans, drained
    1 small can English peas, drained
    4 celery sticks, diced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 small can pimentos
    1 onion, sliced thinly
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1 c. salad vinegar
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Combine all the vegetables in a large bowl.
    Mix the salt, sugar, oil, vinegar and water.
    Pour over vegetables and marinate several hours.
    Just before serving, drain off liquid.
    Serve salad on lettuce leaves or in a salad bowl.
    It is delicious!
