Ginger Garlic Broccoli(From China) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. broccoli
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 large clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cut off broccoli flowerets and slash their stems; peel and thinly slice stalks.
    Heat a wok or wide frying pan over high heat.
    Add oil.
    Add garlic and ginger and stir once; then add broccoli and stir-fry for one minute.
    Add water; cover and cook until the broccoli is tender-crisp (3 to 4 minutes).
    Asparagus may be substituted for broccoli.
