Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. milk
1 Tbsp. shortening, melted or vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat egg with a beater until fluffy.
Beat in remaining ingredients just until smooth.
For thinner pancakes, stir in an additional 1/4 cup milk.
Pour 3 tablespoons for each pancake. Makes 9 (4-inch) pancakes.
