Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks, drained
    2 or 3 sliced oranges
    1 large apple, chunked
    3 bananas, sliced
    1/2 lb. seedless grapes, halved
    1/2 c. pineapple juice
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/4 lb. cheese (Cheddar or American), diced
    1 c. pecans (optional)
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 whole egg plus 1 egg yolk
Preparation
    Beat well the egg and egg yolk.
    Cook egg, sugar, pineapple juice and lemon juice in double boiler until thick.
    When cool, pour over remaining ingredients.
    Chill.
    At Christmastime, add red and green cherries.
