Cherry Angel Dessert - cooking recipe

1 angel food cake
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen whipped topping
1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation

Cream softened cheese and sugar; blend in thawed topping. Crumble cake into a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
Pour cheese mixture evenly over cake.
Top with cherry filling.
Cover and chill for 2 hours or overnight.
Serves 12.
